engagement

accessible engagement is a cornerstone of our work. we host and produce events that center Black dramatic performance. we are in and of our community, wherever we are.

access

we consider accessibility in everything we do. our praxis requires us to consider accessibility in cost, location and content both in our school and in our productions. we believe in Black drama for all.

from Korinn:

“Theatre is a community event and The Black Drama School centers community and access as a means of keeping theatre available, accessible, ethical & equitable for everyone involved. We are, primarily, a curated archive to encourage and facilitate the study of Black drama. We cater to a variety of learning styles and we’re passionate about curating and creating educational tools that make the study of theatre and theatre history appealing to a wider audience.”

This website was created in 2022 with funding from the North Carolina Arts Council and ArtsGreensboro.
